DARIEN TOWNSHIP — A Beloit man involved in a motorcycle crash July 17 in the town of Darien has died, according to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.

Dale Culver, 65, of Beloit sustained serious head injuries in the crash and died July 31, according to a news release.

The accident happened about 1:15 p.m. on Saturday July 17, 2021. The Walworth County Communications Center received a report of an injury crash involving two motorcycles on County highway M near Springwood Drive in the Town of Darien.

When deputies and the Darien Fire Department arrived, the found Culver in the road.

Culver was transported to Janesville Mercy by Shared Paramedics 324 and an Emergency Room Doctor from the Mercy MD-1 response program.

Investigators believe Culver struck the rear of a slower moving motorcycle traveling ahead of him and both motorcyclists went down.

The other motorcyclist received treatment for minor injuries at the scene and was released.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Darien Fire and Rescue, and the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
