WALWORTH COUNTY — More than 2,000 customers remain without electricity Friday following the winter storm that rolled through Walworth County beginning Wednesday.

The Alliant Energy outage map shows 2,121 customers out as of 7:30 a.m. Friday, stretching from Delavan, through Lake Geneva and down to Genoa City.

Elkhorn and areas in the northern part of the county remain unaffected.

The City of Lake Geneva Department of Public Works will be going through the city picking up branches, limbs, etc. from trees in the public right of way (terrace) which fell as a result of the recent ice storm.

Residents may cut up their limbs and branches and place them to the curb; not in the street.

All limbs and branches may not be larger than 6 inches in diameter and 6 feet in length; they must be stacked at the curb. READ MORE.
