WHITEWATER — The Whitewater Police Department says they are investigating after a newborn was found dead in a field.

All police are saying right now is that Whitewater Police and EMS responded about 11 a.m. Saturday to the area of Twin Oaks Mobile Home Park on N. Tratt St. for a report of a deceased newborn located in a field.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation, and no additional information will be released at this time.

Whitewater Police are seeking any information that may assist in the investigation.
