LAKE GENEVA — The Lake Geneva Police Department says they have received multiple calls from concerned parents regarding the closure of the Lake Geneva Day Care Center on April 4, 2024, specifically that children were not properly supervised during the transition.

In response, police say they’ve talked to representatives of the Lake Geneva Day Care Center, the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families and concerned parents.

Police say the information they have obtained indicates the children attending the Lake Geneva Day Care Center on April 4, had adequate and appropriate supervision until guardians picked them up, and at no point were left alone or unattended.

Police say they also are forwarding the matter to the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families for their review.
