MADISON — For the second season in a row, the Big Foot boys golf team qualified for the Division 2 state golf tournament in Madison, and this year finished third.

Tyler Short shot Big Foot’s low score and finished fourth in the field with a 7-over par 151 in the two-day tournament.

As a team, Big Foot scored a 657 total behind second place Cambridge and winner Seymour.

The 99th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Golf Championships was held Monday and Tuesday, June 9-10 at University Ridge in Madison, Wis

Teams qualifying in Division 2 (with total state appearances) were Big Foot (2), Cambridge (12), Catholic Memorial (15), Lakeland (9), Prescott (2), Seymour (4), University School of Milwaukee (11) and Xavier (11).

Final scores on the par 72 course:

  • Tyler Short, +7, 4th
  • Jack Nelson, +11, 8th
  • Dakota Nordmeyer, +29, 33rd
  • Roman Vilona, +34, tied for 41st
  • Jackson Brown, +63, 52nd
