DELAVAN TOWNSHIP — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is preparing for resurfacing this fall of Highway 50 from Lake Lawn to Highway 67.

The project is expected to begin in early September and be completed by mid-fall

The Town of Delavan will hold a public information meeting to explain the upcoming project.

The meeting will take place:

  • Wednesday, August 20
  • 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Delavan Town Hall — 5621 Town Hall Road, Delavan WI 53115

This is an open-house style event — come when you can, ask questions, and see what’s planned. Local access will be maintained during construction, but there will be a detour for through traffic.

Overview The WIS 50 project will improve approximately 3.7 miles of roadway. Improvements include:

  • Resurfacing WIS 50 within project limits, and portion of WIS 67
  • New traffic signals, curb ramps, guardrail, pavement markings, and signing.

Traffic Impacts and Detours WIS 50 will be closed to through traffic from Lake Lawn Drive to WIS 67 during construction. A detour will be posted utilizing I-43 and WIS 67.

  • Local traffic will be maintained for businesses and other destinations within the work zone.
