WALWORTH — Travis Frederick of Sharon, a dominating lineman for Big Foot High School in the mid-2000s before standout careers with the UW Badgers and Dallas Cowboys, will be inducted in September into the UW Athletic Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremony takes place as part of Hall of Fame weekend on Sept. 5 and 6, 2025. The inductees will also be honored inside Camp Randall Stadium during Wisconsin Football’s meeting with Middle Tennessee.

Frederick started his career with the Badgers in 2009, becoming the first true freshman to start on the offensive line for the Badgers opening game of the season, later becoming the starting center and captain in 2012.

In 2013, Frederick earned his spot in the NFL as the 31st pick of the Dallas Cowboys and became the first rookie in franchise history to start every game at center. Frederick went on to earn five Pro Bowl nominations and earned a First-Team All-Pro spot in 2016 before retiring from professional football in 2020.

This year’s hall of fame class also includes Frederick’s teammate on the Badgers, James White, basketball’s Frank Kaminski, legendary announcer Matt Lepay, Mohammed Ahmed, Dorcas Akinniyi, Molly Engstrom, Mary Massei, Joe Pavelski, Tom Shipley, Martin Smith and Cara Walls.

Inductees were announced in June.
