ELKHORN — For the first time in nearly 30 years, the Elkhorn Elks girls basketball team is headed to the state tournament.

Elkhorn, the top seed in its bracket, defeated #2 Milton 66-47 in a WIAA Division 2 sectional final Saturday at Janesville Craig High School.

BRACKETS

The Elks are seeded No. 3 in the tournament and will face 2-seed Whitefish Bay on Saturday afternoon.

In the other semifinal, No. 1 Rice Lake will take on No. 4 Beaver Dam

The Elks last appearance in the state tournament was in 1997 under Head Coach Jim Henriott when the Elks took home the Division 2 title with a 57-48 win over Kimberly.

The 2026 State Girls Basketball Tournament will be held Thursday-Saturday, March 12-14, 2026 at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.

Semifinals – Friday, March 13 – 1:35 p.m.
Game 1: #1 Seed Rice Lake vs. #4 Seed Beaver Dam
Game 2:  #2 Seed Whitefish Bay vs. #3 Seed Elkhorn

Championship – Saturday, March 14 – 6:35 p.m.
Game 3:  Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
