WALWORTH — On a spring morning this April, runners, walkers, families, and community supporters will gather in Walworth for more than just a race. They will gather to stand with youth who are rebuilding their lives.
Agape House will host its annual 5K Run, Walk, Roll, or Stroll on Saturday, April 25, 2026, beginning and ending at Agape House, 215 S. Main Street in Walworth. The event is designed to raise awareness about child abuse while inviting the community to support the healing work happening every day through the ministry.
Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 9 a.m., with announcements and the race starting at 10 a.m.
Organizers say the event is intentionally designed to welcome everyone, regardless of athletic ability.
“This is truly a community event,” organizers shared. “Whether someone runs the full 5K, walks with friends, or simply comes to support the cause, every person who participates is helping raise awareness and bring hope to youth who have experienced trauma.”
For more than 25 years, Agape House has served at-risk youth and their families through a holistic, Christ-centered approach to healing.
The organization provides residential care, an educational day program, counseling services, family support, and transitional living programs to help young people recover from abuse and build stable futures.
Participants in the April event will not only enjoy a morning of fellowship and activity but will also help highlight the importance of community involvement in protecting and supporting vulnerable youth.
Early bird registration is $25 through April 1, increasing to $30 afterward.
Children 16 and under can participate for free, and those who register early will receive a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last. Individuals may also have their registration fee waived by raising $100 or more in sponsor donations.
The theme verse for the event, Matthew 9:37 — “The harvest is plentiful…”, reflects the organization’s belief that many opportunities exist for individuals to serve and support those in need.
Community members interested in participating or learning more can register online at

Organizers say the message behind the event is simple: when a community comes together, healing becomes possible.
