LAKE GENEVA — There will be a new cruise boat on Geneva Lake this summer, and you can help give it a name. Lake Geneva Cruise Line announced last week that they are adding a new boat to their classic fleet.
The new and as yet unnamed boat will launch this summer and will be used for private charters and on an all-new Shoreline Architectural Tour.
Submit your name ideas ONLINE HERE through May 15. The winner will be announced on May 29.
“We are looking to create a new experience, different from the rest of the fleet,” Bill Gage, Jr.,
third-generation owner of Gage Marine Corporation and Lake Geneva Cruise Line was quoted as saying in a news release. “This new boat will have a warmer atmosphere, Art Deco accents, nickel and chrome fittings and fixtures instead of traditional brass. Every element of the design is intentional to enhance the customer experience.”
With dining capacity for 60 plus and total passengers around 125 plus, this new boat is 19 feet wide and
over 65 feet long. It has three levels: first and second for passengers, and the top deck for the pilot
house.
Both passenger decks will have large sliding windows, with the upper deck all glass from bow to
stern, even behind the bar. Both passenger decks can be enclosed, except for the open-air bow on the
upper deck, which has a partial hard canopy.
Names submitted will be reviewed by a Gage Marine Corporation committee comprising employees
from various business divisions.
Get your entries in now because the people who submit the first 75 entries, along with their guest, will
be invited to the boat launch event later this summer.
And the winner, the person whose name is chosen for the new boat, and their guest will also receive an
invitation to the launch party, as well as be the one to christen the new boat by breaking the bottle of
champagne over the bow.
They will also receive a $250 PIER 290 gift card, a complimentary Lake Life Season Pass from Lake Geneva Cruise Line, and a Gage gift basket from the Lake Life Store.
Name submissions will be collected online only through May 15, 2026. The name will be selected and
the winner announced on May 29, 2026. The launch celebration date will be announced later this year.
