WILLIAMS BAY, Wis. — Voters across Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District are invited to meet the Democratic candidates seeking the party’s nomination before the Aug. 11 primary election.
The Congressional District 1 Executive Board and the Walworth County Democratic Party are partnering to host a moderated candidate forum on Sunday, July 26, at the Williams Bay High School Auditorium, 250 Theatre Road, Williams Bay.
All 3 Democratic CD1 candidates have committed:
The forum provides voters with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates, learn where they stand on the issues, and make an informed decision before casting their ballots.
The winner of the August primary will face incumbent Republican Bryan Steil of Janesville.
“Being days before the primary, we hope to pack the house for the July 26th event. This is a last chance for voters to hear from all four candidates as they share their plans, the legislation they would enact, and how they would work for the benefit of CD1 constituents. The CD1 Executive Board welcomes this collaborative effort with the Democratic Party of Walworth County to provide this meaningful opportunity,” said Susan Chandler, CD1 Chair,
The event schedule is as follows:
- 2:00 p.m. – Doors open
- 2:00–2:30 p.m. – Candidate tabling in the lobby
- 2:30–4:20 p.m. – Moderated candidate forum
- 4:20–5:00 p.m. – Candidate tabling in the lobby
Attendees will have additional opportunities before and after the forum to meet the candidates, ask questions, and gather campaign information.
