LYONS — A 28-year-old man is recovering after investigators say he was stabbed multiple times early Monday.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s 911 Communications Center received a request about 6:30 a.m. Monday for an ambulance to respond to a home on Barry Drive in the Town of Lyons.
After making the request the caller hung up, according to a news release from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.
When the Lyons Fire Department arrived, they found a person in the driveway of the home with multiple stab wounds to the torso.
When sheriff’s deputies and city of Lake Geneva police officers arrived, they found a suspect on the property who was taken into custody without further incident.
Charges have been referred to the Walworth County District Attorney. Walworth County Community News will identify the suspect when charges are filed in court.
This was not a random act and there is no danger to the community, according to police.
The stabbing victim, a 28-year-old man was transported to an area hospital, in stable condition, for treatment.
The Lyons Fire Department was assisted by City of Lake Geneva Fire Department Paramedics.
This case is an active criminal investigation and no additional information will be released at this time.
