SHARON– Martha Hayden will host her annual Open Studio Exhibition, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9-10, 2023 from noon – 5 p.m. at 143 Prairie, Street, Sharon, Wisconsin.

The exhibit this year will feature new paintings along with plein air studies done in Sharon, Mineral Point and Eau Claire, according to a news release.

Hayden will show new experimental work in encaustic (a wax medium), and there will be a display of new viscosity collagraphs along with her press and the materials she uses in making prints.

This summer Hayden participated in several plein air competitions. After winning some smaller awards, she received Grand Champion at Go Paint; the Chippewa Valley at the Pablo Center, Eau Claire, Grand Champion Plein Air at the Wisconsin State Fair, and Reserve Champion at the Walworth County Fair. .

“If you like painting and you like old houses, you will enjoy this exhibit,” Hayden said.

Visitors are free to wander her home and studio and paintings are displayed and stacked throughout.
