GENEVA TOWNSHIP — A Beloit man was arrested in the Town of Geneva after police alleged he send inappropriate messages and photos to a 14-year-old girl on Facebook, police said Tuesday.

The 33-year-old Beloit man was arrested by Town of Geneva Police officers on March 20, 2025 during a traffic stop on his way to meet the girl, according to a news release from Police Chief Anthony Miceli.

The investigation began after authorities were notified that the man had been contacting the girl on Facebook Messenger since approximately 7 a.m. that morning and sending inappropriate messages and photos of himself.

The man faces possible charges of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and causing a child over 13 to view or listen to sexual activity. He is currently being held in the Walworth County Jail.

The Walworth County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case.
