EAST TROY — Three people were transported for medical evaluation and a fourth was assessed at the scene and released following a plane crash Sunday along Carvers School Road in the Town of East Troy.
According to a news release from the Town of East Troy Police Department and East Troy Fire Rescue, emergency responders were sent to the crash site near the East Troy Airport after receiving reports of the incident involving an aircraft carrying four people.
When they arrived, emergency crews provided medical care and evaluated all four occupants.
Members of Sky Dive Milwaukee, based at the nearby East Troy Airport, also helped in the search, although the downed plane was not associated with the group.
The joint response included units from the Town of East Troy Police Department, East Troy Fire Rescue, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department, and the Village of East Troy Police Department, with coordination support from the Walworth County Communications Center.
The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting the investigation into the cause of the crash in conjunction with the Town of East Troy Police Department.
