LaFAYETTE TOWNSHIP — A motorcyclist died Saturday in a crash with another vehicle, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday.
Daniel J. Lust 70 of Burlington died at the scene, according to the the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Walworth County 911 Communications Center received a report about 11:30 a.m. Saturday Aug. 7, 2021 of an injury crash involving a motorcycle and car on Wisconsin Highway 11 and Plank Road in the Town of Lafayette.
Deputies and the Elkhorn Fire Department responded and found Lust in the road with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say Lust was riding a motorcycle when he failed to stop at the posted stop sign while traveling southbound on Plank Road with the intersection of Wisconsin Highway 11.
A car driven by a 27-year-old Burlington man struck Lust’s motorcycle as Lust went into the intersection.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Elkhorn Fire Department, City of Lake Geneva Fire Department-Paramedics and the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
