WHITEWATER — Strong storms that moved through Walworth County Tuesday evening left trees down and power out in the Whitewater area.

Photos from area residents showed trees down around Whitewater Lake and on Territorial Drive, knocking out power.

Homeowners around Whitewater Lake reported tree damage and piers being tossed into the water. Trees were also reported down on East Lake Shore.

High winds hit other parts of the county as well.

Heavy rain was reported in Lake Geneva, and winds up to 60 m.p.h. were reported in the Pell Lake and East Troy areas about 7 p.m. by the National Weather Service in Sullivan.
