DARIEN — Walworth County’s annual celebration of all things sweet corn begins its three-day 2021 festival Friday.

The festival features free roasted sweet corn every day of the event.

Among the highlights are the parade, which begins at noon Sunday downtown.

The Cornfest Parade is the premier event of the weekend. People come from miles around to see the floats, bands, tractors, horses and much more. Don’t forget to bring some folding lawn chairs to sit along the route.

The fireworks show begins at sundown Friday.

For music, the Allens Grove Band peforms Friday and Cherry Pie performs Saturday.

There also will be softball, horseshoe, valleyball and cornhole tournaments throughout the weekend.

The Cornfest Softball Tournament pulls in great teams from across the Mid-west to compete in this exciting two-day event.
