LAKE GENEVA — In a move to bring new technology and tools to its business, Keefe Real Estate announced Thursday that it has entered a partnership with Compass, the largest independent real estate brokerage in the country.

Tom Keefe, owner of Lake Geneva based Keefe Real Estate, explained the deal in a video on the company’s Facebook page.

Under the partnership, Keefe and Compass will join forces to offer local, personal service with the backing of Compass’ national exposure and best-in-class technology and real estate platform to create a powerhouse brokerage, according to the post.

“Like many industries, real estate has reached a moment where change has been completely unprecedented,” Keefe said.

The tools needed to be successful in the modern real estate business are increasingly complex, and Compass is a leader in the field.

“It’s becoming harder and harder for a small independant brokerages like Keefe to keep up,” Keef said.

Partnering with a larger company like Compass gives Keefe more resources, while still keeping local management and staff, Keefe said.

Compass touts itself as building the first modern real estate platform, pairing the industry’s top talent with technology to make the search and sell experience intelligent and seamless, according to its website.
