Walworth County, Wisconsin, COVID testing sites

ELKHORN — With a recent rise over the past two weeks in demaind, Walworth County Public Health and the Wisconsin National Guard (WING) will continue drive-through COVID-19 testing at the Walworth County Fairgrounds through January 2022.

The WING testing site will be open to the public on Tuesdays, Jan. 11, 18, and 25 from noon to 5 p.m.

Testing is free. pre-registration is required. To register, visit https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov. If residents experience difficulties completing the registration, they may register in person at the test site or call (262) 741-3200. WING will administer PCR tests for adults and children as young as one year of age. The Walworth County Fairgrounds are located at 411 E. Court St. in Elkhorn. Access to the testing site is via the Fairgrounds’ north gate off Hwy. 11.

“We have seen a significant uptick in testing demand over the last two weeks,” says Walworth County Public Health Officer Erica Bergstrom. “We are grateful for the continued support of the Wisconsin National Guard as we work to reduce the testing burden on our overwhelmed healthcare systems.”

Additional Testing Sites

Open Arms Free Clinic (205 E. Commerce Ct., Elkhorn) conducts weekly testing on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. No appointment needed, pre-registration is advised. Register at https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov/en-US/.

The UW-Whitewater offers testing Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Esker Hall (420 N. Prairie St., Whitewater). Testing is available to all community members ages 5 and up. Testing is free. Register at https://www.wihealthconnect.com. The Center for COVID Control (312 S. 7th St., Ste. 3, Delavan) offers testing Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit https://centerforcovidcontrol.org.

COVID-19 rapid and PCR tests are also available through local healthcare providers and select Walgreens locations.
