TOWN OF DELAVAN — Two adults and a juvenile were arrested last Friday and face charges in connection with the burglary at a town of Delavan gun shop.
Richey K. Majors, 24, Milwaukee appeared in Walworth County Circuit Court today, Jan. 12, 2021, where he was charged with 18 felonies in the case.
Madison M. Brakke, 19, West Allis, along with a juvenile also were arrested.
Town of Delavan Police Department responded about 3 a.m. Jan. 7 to an an activated burglar alarm at the Dam Road Gun Shop, located at 4596 Dam Rd. in the Town of Delavan.
Officers from the City of Delavan and deputies from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene as well, according to a news release from the town of Delavan Police Department.
Officers discovered the business had been burglarized and learned several firearms had been stolen from the business.
While the Town of Delavan was investigating this incident, Officers from the City of Elkhorn Police Department assisted by Walworth County Sheriff’s Department deputies located a suspicious vehicle at the Speedway gas station in the City of Elkhorn.
Officers learned that there were several firearms in the vehicle and upon further investigation found that all the firearms in the vehicle matched the firearms stolen from the Dam Road Gun Shop.
Majors faces possible charges including theft, burglary and felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
The Town of Delavan Police Department is currently investigating this incident.
