LAKE GENEVA — Favorable temperatures and improving ice conditions should set up great ice fishing in the next few weeks as Walworth County enters the height of the ice-fishing tournament season.

At least three popular tournaments are promoting plans for their annual events on the Fishing Walworth County Facebook group. Be sure to check ice conditions before you head out.

Sat., Feb. 12, 2022, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Bloomfield Sportsman’s Club 2022 Ice Fishing Derby on Pell Lake. DETAILS

Proceeds will help fund new piers at each of the two beaches next summer.

Tickets may be purchased ahead of time at Spoondoggers or at the weigh-in station.

Sun. Feb. 13, 2022, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., 46th Annual Whitewater Lions Club Fish-A-Ree on Whitewater Lake. DETAILS

Big fish awards for bass, northern, walleye, bluegill, crappie and perch with purchase of raffle ticket.

Sat., Feb. 19, 2022, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Project Veteran Muscle Foundation 3rd Annual Ice Fishing Tournament on Lake Como. DETAILS

No need to sign up, registration will be on the day of. If you’re just looking to hang out and enjoy the live entertainment, food, drinks and raffles.
