ELKHORN — A strong line of storms produced at least one tornado Friday evening, damaging buildings as it moved across Walworth County.

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee reported a tornado near Elkhorn at 8:19 p.m.

The same storm caused damage to multiple buildings about 8 p.m. between Sharon and Delavan.

The weather service warned about the impending storm throughout the day and issued a tornado warning for Walworth County at about 7:30 p.m.

The Sharon Police Department said power lines were down on Stateline Road and power was out in parts of Walworth.

About 800 customers were reported without power north of Delavan as of 8:45 p.m.
