FOLLOW LAKE GENEVA POLICE HERE FOR LATEST UPDATES

LAKE GENEVA — As authorities continue to look for possibly two more suspects in Lake Geneva following a burglarly in Elkhorn and car chase, three were taken into custody Saturday evening after they were spotted from a Town of Linn Police drone.

Town of Linn police released drone images overnight showing the suspects in a wooded area near Edwards Boulevard and Sheridan Springs Road. Shortly after, three of the suspects were arrested.

According to the most recent social media post from Lake Geneva Police about 8:45 p.m. Thursday, possibly two more suspects were on the loose.

According to the news release from the Town of Linn Police Department, their drone was requested about 6:15 p.m. Saturday to assist the City of Lake Geneva Police Department, City of Elkhorn Police Department and the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office in the area of N. Edwards Blvd and Sheridan Springs Road.

The call originated in Elkhorn as a result of a burglary investigation where the suspect’s vehicle was seen leaving the area. Law enforcement pursued the vehicle into Lake Geneva where the suspects vehicle crashed with two other vehicles.

The suspects then fled on foot after the crash.

During the search for the suspects, the Town of Linn Police Department drone detected a heat signature on the East side of U.S. Highway 12, east of the crash location.

A Walworth County K-9 Unit was on the ground and was tracking the suspect simultaneously.

The drone units provided the location of the suspect, and they were taken into custody a short time later. Three suspects are in custody, according to police

Also on scene were drone teams from the City of Lake Geneva Police Department and the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.
