LAKE GENEVA — The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office is asking for tips to find a motorcyclist chased by deputies in Lake Geneva that eventually led to a squad car crashing into another vehicle.

Authorities released a photo of the suspect Thursday.

According to a news release, a Walworth County Deputy initiated a traffic stop Aug. 7 of a motorcycle in the area Highway 50 and North Edwards Blvd in the City of Lake Geneva. The deputy then radioed that the motorcyclist had fled the stop and had nearly struck him with the motorcycle.

The deputy initiated a pursuit of the motorcyclist that went through Lake Geneva and continued northbound on State Highway 120. In the area of State Highway 120 and Oak Lane, the deputy became involved in a motor vehicle collision with another vehicle not involved in the pursuit.

Additional Walworth County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Town of Lyons Fire and Rescue, the Lake Geneva Police Department, and the Lake Geneva Fire Department responded to the scene to render aid and prevent further injuries.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene to investigate the collision. The motorcyclist was last seen fleeing northbound from the scene. The motorcyclist was described as wearing a pink hoodie and backpack.
