ELKHORN — Police are asking the public for tips to help find a suspect who they say touched a teen inappropriately Friday evening.
According to a news release, the Elkhorn Police Department received a report about 7:23 p.m. last Friday of a 16-year-old girl that was touched inappropriately earlier in the evening in the 200 block of Randall Place.
Police are releasing information about the incident Monday and asking residents in the area to check their doorbell cameras.
The girl told police she was walking by herself on Randall Place, about 6:45 p.m. when an unknown male approached her from behind.
The male touched the girl inappropriately over the girl’s outer clothing and then fled on foot, according to the news release.
The suspect was described as possibly 5’10” to 6′ tall and was possibly wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and a hat.
The Elkhorn Police Department is asking that those who live in this area to please check their cameras around this time.
