LAKE GENEVA — A new exhibit including a wide variety of art by Geneva Lake Arts Foundation members is now open at Gallery 223 in downtown Lake Geneva.
The show runs through April 12 at the nonprofit foundation that owns and operates at 223 Broad St.
The hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday-Monday.
On display are works in such media as painting, drawing, photography, pottery, glass, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, weaving, fiber and wood.
Among the artists with work in the show is Sandra Fink May, who has been a full-time artist since retiring from teaching in 2012, the same year she joined the Geneva Lake Arts Foundation.
As an abstract painter and sculptor, she explores mixed media on canvas and pursues painterly explorations through sculpture.
She is continually inspired by the challenge of working with repurposed and found materials, allowing history and texture to inform each piece.
She grew up in southeastern Wisconsin and now lives and works in northern Illinois. Sandra’s artwork has been represented in galleries and exhibitions across the nation and is held in private collections throughout the United States and Great Britain.
