LAKE GENEVA — “Where Ideas Meet the Water” is how organizers are describing the inaugural Lake Geneva Humanities Festival coming later this month to three iconic venues in the city.
The free festival runs Sept. 24-27, 2026 with different programs scheduled for the Riviera, Lake Geneva Public Library and the Church of the Holy Communion all in downtown Lake Geneva.
Participants can take part in four days of ideas, conversation, history, music, architecture and American culture in beautiful Lake Geneva.

Richard Munson — Author of Ingenious: A Biography of Benjamin Franklin, Scientist, exploring the fascinating connection between Franklin the scientist, inventor, and nation-builder.

County Highway — Writers and editors from the acclaimed American newspaper celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary and 250 Great American Things.

Louisa Waycott with Tom Stanfield — An evening celebrating the Great American Songbook, featuring timeless American standards performed by mezzo-soprano Louisa Waycott with Lake Geneva favorite Tom Stanfield.
Sunday, Sept. 27 | 2 p.m. | Riviera ballroom
Robert Sharoff with William Zbaren & Tim Samuelson — Discover the story, architecture, and history behind Chicago’s iconic Wrigley Building.
