NEW ORLEANS — Hurricane Ida has intensified to category 4, the National Hurricane Center reported Sunday morning.
As of 11 a.m., the eyewall had begun moving onshore along the coast of southeast Louisiana.
Damaging winds, especially in gusts, will spread well inland across southeastern Louisiana and southwestern Mississippi.
