DARIEN — A fire blamed on an outdoor wood burner consumed a shed and all of its contents Saturday evening in Darien.

Darien Fire/EMS were called about 6:45 p.m. Saturday for a report of a shed fire behind 558 Oak Ridge Drive.

Sharon Fire-Rescue also responded along with the on-duty Shared Paramedic Crew and Delavan/Darien Police also provided assistance. City of Delavan was quickly called for an Engine and Chief.

The fire was quickly extinguished but not before some minor damage was caused to the siding of another shed on an adjoining property.

Unfortunately the original shed and contents are a complete loss. The cause of the fire appears to be a wood burner. Special thanks to all the mutual aid partners for the assistance.
