LAKE GENEVA — The latest exhibit at Gallery 223 in Lake Geneva is the Late Spring Show that features artworks by members of the Geneva Lake Arts Foundation.

The display opened April 17, 2025 and continues through June 1. The gallery, owned and operated by the nonprofit foundation, is open at 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday-Monday.

Included in the exhibit are such media as painting, drawing, photography, pottery, glass, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, weaving, fiber and wood.

Paintings are being shown by Sharon Larson of Lake Geneva, a foundation founding member who has shown many times and taught numerous classes at the gallery.

She works in watercolor, oil, and pastel.

Larson has pursued art all her life, “but the last 35 years I been working seriously at it,” she said, noting she has taken workshops and has sold many pieces. “The best part of art is being able to express the feeling I have when I see something beautiful or interesting. I just want to paint that.”

Other GLAF members exhibiting their works are Lake Geneva residents Sarah Christian, Caryn Leverence Rothschild, Sarah McConnell, Caroll Pearson, Samantha Polek, Robin Russart, Julie Sarton, Silvie Sturm-Meyer, Maria DeCaprio Sunta, and Sybil Brauneis Klug.

Billy Bishop and Shelly Heiss of Williams Bay also have works in the show.

Other exhibitors are Patricia Barnes, Nancy Boyle, Pat Braker, Margaret Burlingham, Carol Cantieri, Barbara Chasnoff, Lisa Dukowitz, Sandra Fink May, Lori Indovina Valus, Robin Schaltz, Kathie Stevens, and Kristine Maher.

Also, Claudette McShane, Linda Oeffling, Barbara Peterson, Timothy Rozwadowski, David Rubenstein, Bonnie Siegel, Robin Vail, Lawrence Fabian, George Rowe, Rich Zentz, and Kathleen Zabler.
