LAKE GENEVA — The Lake Geneva Balloon Company is planning a balloon festival in August of 2022 that could draw thousands to Walworth County.

The 2022 Balloons and Tunes Festival is being organized to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary.

Plans are to host 20 or more balloons for a weekend of ballooning and live music, according to a social media post.

Then would do balloon flights and balloon glows on Friday and Saturday nights and balloon flights on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The event could draw 15,000 – 20,000 people.

Organizers are looking for volunteers to be on the planning committee as well as possible sponsors.

They also are looking to add commercial and food vendors and will be looking to raise money for a local charity.
