The quirky, igloo-shaped building has been closed for several years and the new owners have been working for months to get it ready for customers once again.

History:
- Arctic Circle Diner: The Stein family began building the igloo-shaped diner in 1947, and it opened in 1949. The name was a reference to Wisconsin’s cold winters, and the diner was popular with teenagers for over a decade.
- Al and Ethel Weiss: The diner was sold to Al and Ethel Weith in the 1960s, when Al was the police chief.
- Daddy (Marshall) and Jeanette Maxwell: Marshall and Jeanette Maxwell bought the diner in 1987 and renamed it Daddy Maxwell’s Antarctic Circle Diner. Jeanette was a well-known figure in the Williams Bay community, known for her cooking and baking. She was also a volunteer for many local organizations and charities. Jeanette was the sole owner for a few years before her death.
